Wednesday, June 6th, we were in Sure sector, Nyamahuru village for the farmer field school. It is an excellent opportunity to remind farmers how to cultivate and grow a good coffee tree. Being closer to them makes us to know more info on how they grow coffee in quantity and quality. it is our responsibility to reach them and we do as much as possible we can.
We had the pleasure of being with ICS volunteers who had also trained some skills to our farmers.
It was a fantastic experience to visit our farmers for the farmer Field School. This Wednesday, we were focused on teaching them: "how to prevent pest before and after attacking a coffee tree."
It was more focused on Pest management.
ICS volunteers were also with us in the Farmer field school. They made present their training in the form of plays. It helps to remind our farmers to even think about Hygiene and sanitation, health and how to protect themselves by buying health insurance and How should they teach and encourage their children importance of education.
The two hours session became one of the successful actions for this week for the whole Kopakama Community. We were very glad to have this time.
